The Sir Chinyeaka Christian Ohaa (Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC)) campaign (“we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your personal data in compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and applicable regulations. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to request deletion.

2. What We Collect

• Volunteers: Name, phone, email, gender, age band, LGA, ward, senatorial district, skills, preferred role, PVC status, motivation.
• Donors: Name, email, phone, address, occupation, donation amount, payment reference.
• Newsletter subscribers: Name, phone, email, LGA, preferred language, channel preference.
• Contact messages: Name, email, phone, subject, category, message.
• Event RSVPs: Name, phone, email, LGA, ward, guest count.
• Endorsements & supporter messages: Name, title, organisation, message, photo (if submitted).

3. Why We Collect It

We use your data to: coordinate volunteer activities, process and acknowledge donations, send campaign updates, respond to enquiries, organise events and RSVPs, and publish approved endorsements. We do not sell your data to any third party.

4. How Long We Keep It

Personal data is retained for the duration of the 2027 election cycle and for the period required by applicable electoral and financial regulations. After that, it is securely deleted or anonymised unless you request earlier deletion.

5. Data Security

Personal data (volunteer phone numbers, donor details) is never publicly readable. Only authenticated campaign administrators can access personal data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Anonymous donations are honoured — your name will not be published if you choose to donate anonymously.

6. Your Rights

Under the NDPA, you have the right to: access your data, request correction, request deletion, and withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the contact page with subject “Data Deletion Request”.

7. Data Deletion Requests

To request deletion of your personal data, send a message via our contact form with the subject “Data Deletion Request” and include the name and phone number you registered with. We will process your request within 30 days and confirm when your data has been deleted.

8. Consent

All data collection on this website requires explicit, unbundled consent. No consent checkbox is pre-ticked. You may withdraw consent at any time.
